The Harn Museum of Art has more than 45 employees in a variety of positions that include accounting, curatorial, conservation, development, education, marketing, information technology, human resources, guest services, merchandising, security and maintenance. Because the Harn Museum is a university-affiliated art museum, the University of Florida serves as the employer. The Harn Museum Registrar I assists as needed with the day-to-day tasks of the Registration Department. The Registrar I should have previous museum, gallery, or other fine arts experience; be comfortable with a variety of computer applications (including databases), and be detail-oriented. General responsibilities include data entry, filing, collections’ and exhibitions’ care and maintenance, assistance with exhibition installation/deinstallation including art and gallery preparation, and other duties specific to a fine arts institution. This position is time-limited.
