Community Kick-Off: The Art of Jacob Lawrence
Saturday, February 24, 11 am – 3 pm

Celebrate the opening of History, Labor, Life: The Prints of Jacob Lawrence with an afternoon full of art-making activities, tours, photo-ops, music, performances and free food! Visitors of all ages can explore the vibrant, colorful works by influential American artist Jacob Lawrence who recorded historical events of African-American life as well as vivid observations of dynamic city life in his native Harlem, New York City.


Family Days

Family Days take place five times a year and revolve around designated exhibitions and themes. These events are typically for ages 5 to 11 but all are welcome. A Family Day begins with a family-friendly tour of art in our galleries and then proceeds to our classroom space for an art activity relating to the tour.


Family Day: Ocean’s Edge 
Saturday, January 27, 2018, 1 – 4 pm

Enjoy a family-friendly tour of VAST: Sea Salt Sand Sky, Photographs by Joni Sternbach and explore the historical photographic processes that Sternbach pursues today. Together, paint rolling ocean waves and vast skies. This program is for families with children ages 5 to 11 but all are welcome. 


Tot Times

Join us the first Friday of each month at 11 AM for an engaging tour and art-making program for children ages 2 – 5 and their families. Space is limited. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start time to register.
